Job description

Position Overview
Burlington has added an exciting new role to our Learning & Professional Development team that will support our new distribution center in Ellabell, GA. The Learning Program Manager is a critical role in the success of Burlington's growth strategy to attract, develop and retain the best talent. This individual will serve as a single-point-of-contact subject matter expert on distribution center skills training and development, supporting distribution center associates with various training and support tools including: ecourses, facilitated classroom sessions, guides, QRCs, etc. The Learning Program Manager will foster a culture of learning with a primary focus on understanding, managing and delivering holistic learning and development solutions for the distribution center organization.
A Day In The Life
  • In collaboration with distribution center management and human resources teams, successfully manage established learning programs, and partner in developing and rolling out new ones. Programs inclusive of on-the-job skills training, compliance and safety training, role-specific certification, onboarding and professional and leadership development.
  • Facilitation will be personally delivered, and/or in partnership with internal and external subject matter experts, coaches and trained-trainers (varying levels of management/leadership).
  • Conduct skills gap and business needs analysis to identify and recommend opportunities for continued improvement to training materials and learning programs.
  • Track, measure and report on the impact of learning programs to ensure achievement of desired business outcomes (performance improvement, compliance, skills proficiency, behavioral capability, management/leadership competence, etc.).

You'll Come With
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience showing progressive responsibility in learning and development program management AND/OR training experience within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Dynamic presentation style (facilitation). Must be able to actively engage learning audiences of all sizes and levels of the organization (non-exempt, exempt, management), in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to manage, monitor and measure program key performance indicators to ensure compliance, effectiveness and return on investment to the organization.
  • Strong project management skills to successfully drive learning program objectives, calendar management, learner enrollment, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Canva and Smartsheet preferred.
  • Knowledge of learning management system preferred, ideally Workday Learning.
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operating facility, may require evening and weekend support to accommodate associate learning on varying shifts.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred (read, write, speak), English-Hindi and/or English-Creole a plus.
  • Occasional overnight travel between East Coast and West Coast distribution center locations as well as occasional overnight travel to the corporate offices in New Jersey will be necessary.
