Academic Req: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant combinations of education and experience may be considered, including:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in a related field with one (1) year of experience preferred, but not required
โ€ข Associate degree in a related field with three (3) years of experience supporting learning management systems, learning technologies, or training operations
โ€ข High school diploma/GED with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting learning management systems, learning technologies, or training operations
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cornerstone OnDemand certifications, ATD's APTD or CPTD, CPTM, instructional design certifications, or other learning technology-related credentials may be considered in lieu of a portion of the educational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cornerstone OnDemand administration experience and/or certification.
Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate).
Knowledge of SCORM and LMS reporting and analytics.
Experience supporting enterprise learning technologies and end users.
Work Experience: Experience supporting or administering an enterprise Learning Management System (LMS), including user management, permissions, course configuration, reporting, and system integrations. Required experience is based on the candidate's educational background as outlined in the Academic Requirements section above.
Position Summary:
The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the organization's learning management system. This role manages user accounts, permissions, course configurations, learning assignments, reporting, and system functionality to ensure a seamless learning experience for employees. The LMS Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for LMS-related support, troubleshooting technical issues, providing user assistance, and maintaining accurate learning records and data integrity. Additionally, this position collaborates with internal stakeholders and LMS vendors to support training initiatives, system enhancements, and continuous improvement of the learning technology environment.
Essential Functions and Measurable Deliverables:
1. System Administration Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions, ensuring accurate setup and maintaining less than 1% error rate in permissions and roles.
2. Provide timely technical support, responding to all tickets within 4 hours and resolving 90% of issues within 24-48 hours.
3. Ensure data integrity and security, generating monthly engagement and completion reports and ad-hoc reports within 24 hours of request.
4. Assist and support eLearning and media director with contracts and service level agreements with LMS providers and vendor on monthly basis.
5. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, troubleshooting guides and any request from organization.
Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Provide technical support and resolving system-related issues in a timely, service-oriented environment.
2. Generate reports and analyzing data to track user engagement, completion rates, and learning outcomes.
3. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts.
5. Manage multiple priorities, tickets, or requests while meeting established deadlines and expectations.
6. Ability to plan, prioritize and carry out multiple, complex, highly collaborative projects, ensuring goals are clear, team and stakeholders are informed, and delivery timelines are met.
7. Excellent virtual and in-person communication and time-management skills.
8. Ability to provide high-quality customer service when supporting users via support tickets, email, or live troubleshooting, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a solution-oriented approach.
9. Solve complex problems, managing time, deadlines, priorities, and workflows and multiple projects
10. Teamwork capabilities with a focus on collaboration.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver at least 4 user training sessions per month, achieving a 90% satisfaction rate in feedback surveys.
2. Conduct quarterly audits of course content and LMS functionality, addressing and resolving 100% of identified compliance issues within 1 week.
3. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging course materials and multimedia content.
4. Collaboratively work with co-workers to produce training resources requested by stakeholder.
5. Implement strategies to increase user engagement and participation in courses.
6. Coordinate the integration of third-party tools and software with the LMS.
7. Ensure seamless functionality and troubleshoot integration issues.
8. Utilize LMS analytics tools to track and report on learning trends and outcomes.
9. Present data-driven insights to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
10. Stay updated with the latest LMS trends and technologies.
