Job description

Learning & Enablement Consultant
About Us
At Toolio, we're on a mission to help retailers navigate the complex, competitive and ever-changing retail landscape so they can deliver what their customers want, when and where they want it. Merchandise planning is a key retail discipline that has been dominated by manual, error prone spreadsheets, and accurate inventory planning has never been more important. Toolio's cloud-based merchandise planning platform was built to help the next-generation of retailers automate critical workflows, gain real-time insights, and make faster, data-driven merchandising decisions. Toolio is trusted by 100+ leading brands and retailers including Rothy's, Knix, Filson, Tommy John, Peloton and more.
Location: Remote
The Opportunity
Toolio is expanding, and we are seeking a Learning & Enablement Consultant who has a strong planning background and understands the workflows needed to be successful. We want someone who connects dots, asks why things work the way they do, and genuinely likes understanding how a system fits together.
You will contribute directly to the content, help articles, and webinars that support the full customer journey. This is an execution-focused role for someone who cares as much about why a customer should use a feature as how to click through it. Every training you help build should end with a customer who can answer: how do I apply this to my business tomorrow?
You'll work closely with customer success and product to make sure customers walk away confident and capable. This is a strong fit for someone who wants to build the discipline of customer education at a growing SaaS company, with real ownership over the materials and programs that shape how thousands of users experience the product.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in Retail Planning or Merchandising with a strong grasp of Open-to-Buy, Assortment Planning, and Allocation concepts.
  • You're confident presenting planning or merchandising concepts to stakeholders at all levels and can tailor your message to each audience.
  • You're passionate about the changing retail landscape and realize the role that technology plays in helping retailers succeed in the future state of retail
  • You believe that spreadsheets are a thing of the past, and planning and merchandising deserve better tools and technology to help them make faster, data-driven decisions
  • You want the ability to leverage your planning and merchandising knowledge in a new and exciting that will allow you to help other retailers succeed
  • Appetite to work in a fast-paced startup environment and wear multiple hats. You are comfortable moving quickly, wearing multiple hats, and embracing a role that extends far beyond traditional retail planning responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with merchandising techstacks and integrations like (Blue Yonder/JDA, O9, Netsuite, Snowflake, Shopify) is a big plus.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining structured content: training decks, help articles, certification materials, and webinar programs, and keeping them current as the product changes.
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator who partners naturally with Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Sales, and Product.
What You'll Do
Training Delivery & Content
  • Deliver live and recorded training for customers, partners, and internal teams; maintain Toolio Academy courses, assessments, and certifications.
  • Contribute to and help maintain the centralized training content library, help center articles, and webinar materials.
  • Update training content to reflect new features and best practices.

Post-Live Customer Engagement
  • Stay engaged with live customers post-implementation, serving as a second chair or delivering targeted training.
  • Observe how training lands in practice, identify where confusion or gaps show up, and feed those insights back into the content library and help center.

Internal Enablement & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Support internal training sessions for Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Sales, and Support so the field is trained on new features.

Continuous Improvement
  • Gather feedback from customers and internal teams, and route it into the training content and help center review process.
  • Support pre-release testing of new features against training materials, help articles, and Academy content.
  • Help track core enablement metrics, including training completion, session satisfaction, and post-training feature adoption, to show what's working and what needs to evolve.
Our Company And Founders
Toolio is a global operation with headquarters in NYC and offices in Turkey, built by an ex-Walmart team of second-time entrepreneurs and backed by top VCs and apparel industry executives. Our founders, Berk and Eytan, are serial entrepreneurs who have worked together for almost 10 years. Their previous company, Stylr, was acquired by Walmart Labs in 2014. Over a successful 5 year tenure at Walmart, they lead teams that delivered various groundbreaking products like Sam's Club Scan & Go and Walmart Pay which reach millions of users and process billions of dollars each year. During this time, Berk and Eytan observed how the tools used by planners and merchants were years behind the technology they had built for consumers. So they set out on a mission to change this by building a modern merchandising platform, Toolio.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
