Job description

SALARY $17.20 per hour

*APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT JOB CORPS STUDENT*

Description

Reports to the food services supervisor or designee. Assists the cooks and cook helpers in preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives.                                                               

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform clean‑up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times.
  2. Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee.
  3. Student snack bar, clean outside area and other duties as assigned in the Admin Building.

Must be reliable and willing to work day, evenings and some weekends. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Must be a current Job Corps Center Student currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program, preferred.
  • Qualified students will, at a minimum, have their student card.
