Job Title: Director, Human Resources

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The role is responsible for designing, leading, and executing strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, and culture at Loram. This role oversees the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and North America HRBP teams, serving as a key architect of programs that attract, develop, and retain top talent. Partners closely with executive leadership to align people initiatives with business objectives, foster a high-performing culture, and lead change management and employee relations efforts across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Lead the Learning & Development team, including creation of leadership development programming, learning governance, training effectiveness, and alignment of learning priorities to current and future business capability needs.
  • Lead the North America HRBP group, ensuring HR Business Partners are a strategic consultant leveraged to deliver consistent, proactive, and business-aligned support in areas such as organizational design, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, manager coaching, and change management.
  • Lead the Recruiting/Talent Acquisition team, focusing on recruiting strategy, employment branding, candidate experience, selection processes, hiring effectiveness, and partnership with business leaders to meet talent needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change leader to executives and people managers, designing and facilitating interventions that improve team effectiveness, organizational structure, leadership capability, and cultural transformation.
  • Leverage data and talent analytics to assess organizational needs, monitor recruiting, learning, workforce, and engagement trends, measure program effectiveness, and deliver actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executives and talent leaders to identify organizational capability needs and leadership/talent priorities.
  • Support organization wide workforce planning efforts
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators throughout the organization to ensure teams are aligned, scalable, and responsive to business needs.
  • Be a key leader in the HR organization - partnering closely with the Total Rewards Director and global HR Directors to align and build common practices and approaches where possible
  • Manage budgets, resources, vendor relationships, tools, and external partnerships for OD, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and HRBP functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in OD HR, BA, Psych, or a related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 yrs of experience in OD, talent management, or related HR leadership roles
  • Direct experience leading teams in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and/or HRBP functions
  • Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale OD initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and culture transformation
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed, multi-location environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experienced in OD, talent management, and adult learning.
  • Strong grasp of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO) with legal collaboration experience.
  • Skilled in facilitation, coaching, and consulting.
  • Effective communicator and relationship-builder across all levels.
  • Data-informed decision maker with a track record of leading teams, driving change, and fostering inclusive, emotionally intelligent workplaces.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in OD, Industrial/Organizational Psych, HR, or related field
  • Certification in OD, Coaching, Change Management (e.g., Prosci, SHRM-SCP, Hogan, Korn Ferry)
  • Demonstrated experience in union negotiations, labor relations, or collective bargaining
  • Background in the manufacturing, rail, or industrial sector
  • Experience supporting international operations
  • Familiarity with HR technology platforms, talent analytics, learning management systems, and survey/assessment tools (e.g., Cornerstone, Dayforce, Culture Amp, SuccessFactors)

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires successful completion of:
  • The subject's name must correspond to their Social Security number and date of birth.
  • A nationwide, federal, and state criminal background check will be conducted. Up to a seven-year history will be considered, including incarceration or court supervision. Findings will be reviewed relative to the position requirements.
  • Current and prior relevant employment experience will be verified to confirm the candidate meets the minimum required years of experience for the position.
  • Post-secondary education at the associate degree level or higher will be verified, including degree(s) earned and dates of completion.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted upon hire and annually thereafter in accordance with Loram's Driving Policy.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is between $153,600-$238,000
