Job description

Position Summary:
The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for improving the quality of work and productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses property-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for all employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance. This position also monitors all industry training regulations and ensures 100% organizational compliance across all Beacon markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and continued oversight of all regulated and developmental training for assigned Beacon markets.
• Conducts annual training and development needs assessments for all positions and markets to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
• Help develop and oversee the implementation of onboarding and orientation programs for new employees ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the organization.
• Work with the creative team on the design and oversee the delivery of engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and e-learning courses to meet company goals and objectives.
• Design overall talent strategy and programs necessary to ensure talent is effectively on-boarded, developed, and deployed to drive and support the business.
• Consult with Beacon Specialized Living Services (BSLS) managers and supervisors to assess training needs and support their development.
• Proposes training and development programs and objectives including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other platforms to enhance the learning experience.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of trainers under supervision and the success of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Ensure all Beacon training courses are consistently executed in assigned markets to meet all state licensing requirements. Effectively develop, implement, and monitor the delivery of all training programs consistently for individuals within BSLS.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related field.
• Five years of experience as a training leader or in a similar role.
Travel:
Frequent travel of about 50% is required to meet with field leadership and assess field operations as needed.
