Job description

Job Title: Learning and Development Coordinator (Part-Time, Hybrid)About the Role

We are seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to play an essential supporting role in keeping our leadership development programs organized, our learners informed, and our team running smoothly behind the scenes.Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, this role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborative environments and thrives on keeping things organized. On-the-job training support will be provided!

Quick Details:
  • Role Type: Part-Time, Temporary (2–3 months with high likelihood of extension)

  • Hours: ~20 hours per week (Flexible schedule, a few hours per day preferred)

  • Pay Rate: $21.49 – $26.86 / hour

Location: Local Remote / Hybrid (Based out of Fairfax East, VA. ~80% remote, 10–20% onsite as needed for events/materials)What You’ll Bring:

  • Communication: Clear, professional written and verbal presence (you will need to be comfortable being on camera for virtual meetings).

  • Tech Savvy: Comfort working with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Mindset: A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with solid organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience Level: None required! This is a great role for an entry-level L&D professional looking for practical corporate experience.

  • INTERVIEW PROCESS:1st Round: A 30-minute virtual chat via Microsoft Teams with the Hiring Manager.

  • 2nd Round: An in-person tour of our conference center and a quick meeting with the Hiring Manager’s colleague.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learner Engagement: Correspond directly with our course participants and monitor the shared team inbox to answer questions about courses and scheduling

  • Calendar Management: Handle the scheduling and calendaring for our courses within Microsoft Outlook

  • LMS Administration: Manage course admin duties within HealthStream (our Learning Management System), including creating course listings and tracking attendance records (full training provided!)

  • Content & Admin Support: Provide light administrative support, including building PowerPoint presentations and creating Word documents/outlines

  • Onsite Logistics (10-20%): Occasionally come onsite to print session materials, set up meeting spaces, and meet with external vendors
