Job Description

Provide professional support to all students in the program while collaborating with faculty to foster positive advising experiences that will provide personal growth,practical skills, knowledge, and experience in preparation for future employment within various Aviation career fields.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Aviation discipline or closely related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in an aviation environment, which may include military, industry (airline, corporate, or airport), educational or professional aviation training (teaching at flight school or academy) or in higher education OR a minimum of an AAS degree and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in an aviation environment or in a higher education environment.

  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualification

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

  • Strong background or experience in the field of aviation.

  • Background or experience in advising, career development or similar field

  • Experience teaching in a formal setting (higher education, corporate training and development, etc)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Experience with basic student learning assessment practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise students, or strong potential for successful supervision.

  • Knowledge of accreditation practices or potential to learn accreditation practices.
