What is learning development enablement?

Learning Development Enablement refers to the strategies, tools, and processes that support and enhance employee learning and professional growth within an organization. It involves designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, as well as providing resources and technologies that empower employees to develop new skills. The goal is to create a culture of continuous learning and improvement that aligns with business objectives. Professionals in this field often collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure learning initiatives address organizational needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in learning development enablement, and why are they important?

Success in Learning Development Enablement requires expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and program management, usually supported by a degree in education or HR and experience in training roles. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools like Articulate or Captivate, and certifications such as CPLP or ATD are highly valued. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and adaptability distinguish top performers in this field. These competencies are essential for creating effective learning experiences that drive employee growth and organizational success.

How does a learning development enablement professional typically collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective training programs?

Learning Development Enablement professionals work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders by facilitating meetings, gathering insights on learning objectives, and ensuring content accuracy and relevance. They often act as a bridge between instructional designers, trainers, and business leaders to align training initiatives with organizational goals. Regular collaboration includes feedback sessions, pilot testing of materials, and iterative updates based on stakeholder input. This cross-functional teamwork helps ensure that training programs are engaging, current, and tailored to the needs of both learners and the business.

Job description

Company Description

Nexthink is the global leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management software. We provide IT leaders with unprecedented insight, allowing them to see, diagnose, and fix issues at scale impacting employees anywhere, with any application or network-often before employees even notice.ย

As the first solution to enable a shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive optimization, Nexthink empowers over 1,300 customers to provide superior digital experiences to more than 18 million employees. Dual-headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland and Boston, Massachusetts, weย operateย with 9 offices and over 1,200 employees across 5 continents.ย

Job Description

Nexthink's Revenue Acceleration team is building a world-class enablement function to support ~400 GTM reps across seven distinct roles in the US, EMEA, META, and APAC.ย We'reย hiring a Senior Enablement Manager to own the most foundational piece of that system: how newย repsย ramp.ย

This is a senior individual contributor role designed for someone who canย operateย with significant autonomy - diagnosingย what'sย broken, designingย what'sย better, and driving execution across a complex, global organization.ย You'llย own Nexthink's end-to-end ramp program from day-one orientation through confirmed productivity, andย you'llย hold the accountability and influence to make it genuinely excellent.ย

What You Will Ownย

Ramp Program Architecture & Executionย

  • Redesign and own Nexthink's onboarding experience end-to-end - from pre-hire welcome through first deal close - across all GTM roles (AEs, BDRs, CSMs, SEs, and beyond)ย

  • Build a structured ramp curriculum that sequences product knowledge, competitive positioning, salesย methodology, toolย proficiency, and deal execution into a coherent rep journeyย

  • Define and track time-to-productivity benchmarks by role; use data to continuously improve ramp outcomesย

  • Ensure new hires reach competency faster andย retainย it longerย

Cross-Functional Coordinationย

  • Serve as the connective tissue between Revenue Acceleration, Sales, CS, Product Marketing, andย RevOpsย to ensure onboarding reflects current GTM motionย

  • Partner with hiring managers and frontline leaders to align onboarding to real-world workflow, not just slide decksย

  • Coordinate with the broader enablement team on content governance, tool access, andย methodologyย alignment so new reps are set up consistently from day oneย

Productivity Agendaย

  • Own the strategic view of what "ready to sell" means at Nexthink and keep that definition current as the product, market, and competitive landscape evolveย

  • Identifyย and close gaps between what new reps learn in onboarding and what theyย actually needย in the fieldย

  • Champion rep readiness in leadership forums; bring data and recommendations, not just observationsย

Qualifications
  • 6+ years in sales enablement, revenue operations, or GTM learning & development - ideally at a B2B SaaS company with a complex enterprise sales motionย

  • Demonstrated ownership of a full ramp or onboarding program, including redesign from a prior stateย

  • Strong cross-functional operator: comfortable working across Sales, CS, Product Marketing, andย RevOpsย without a heavy process to lean onย

  • Analytical mindset - can define what "good" looks like, instrument it, and iterate from evidenceย

  • Excellent facilitator and communicator; can run a training session and write a tight exec summary with equal confidenceย

  • Experience with modern GTM tools (Seismic, Gong or equivalent CI, Salesforce/CRM, LMS platforms)ย

  • Comfortable working across time zones; EMEA and META exposure is a plusย

  • A builder mentality - this role involves creating structure where thereย isn'tย enough of it yetย

In addition, we offer:ย

  • Flexible Hours and unlimited vacation (employees have unlimited paid time off on top of the 15 days of holidays we offer), 11 company-paid holidays, and 3 extra days for volunteering.
