Teal Energi is partnered with a growing industrial manufacturing company in Pasadena, TX that is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead employee training, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives. This role is instrumental in ensuring employees are properly trained, qualified, and equipped to perform their responsibilities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.


The ideal candidate will partner with operations, safety, maintenance, engineering, quality, and HR teams to build and maintain effective training programs that support employee development, operational excellence, and workplace safety


Key Responsibilities:

Employee Onboarding & Safety Training

  • Coordinate onboarding programs for new hires, contractors, temporary personnel, and interns.
  • Facilitate safety-related training programs and ensure required certifications are completed before employees begin work in operational areas.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and records to support compliance requirements and internal audits.
  • Schedule recurring training sessions and refresher courses to maintain workforce qualifications.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through consistent and structured learning programs.

Technical & Operations Training

  • Coordinate job-specific training programs for manufacturing and operations personnel.
  • Support the development of training pathways, qualification plans, and competency requirements for various work areas.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to verify employee readiness and skill development.
  • Maintain training matrices and records that track employee qualifications and progression.
  • Support cross-training initiatives that increase workforce flexibility and operational efficiency.

Learning & Development

  • Create and deliver engaging training materials, presentations, visual aids, and instructional content.
  • Assist with the development, revision, and implementation of standard work procedures and training documentation.
  • Support digital learning platforms and electronic training management systems.
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.

Training Program Administration

  • Monitor employee training progress and qualification status.
  • Coordinate competency assessments and skills evaluations.
  • Identify training needs, development opportunities, and knowledge gaps.
  • Maintain records related to certifications, qualifications, and required employee training.

Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through performance metrics and operational feedback.
  • Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives by identifying training-related opportunities.
  • Standardize training practices across departments and manufacturing areas.
  • Support ongoing operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts.


Qualifications:

Required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Safety, Education, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience within manufacturing, industrial operations, chemical processing, pharmaceutical production, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience developing, coordinating, or facilitating employee training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience maintaining training records, procedures, and controlled documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems (LMS).

Preferred

  • Experience supporting training programs in chemical, process, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with process safety concepts and regulated operating environments.
  • Exposure to quality management systems or ISO-based standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems and electronic training platforms.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience.
