North America | Remote | Flexible Independent Consulting Opportunity
Popcorn Potential is expanding its North American consulting team and is seeking experienced education professionals who are interested in applying their expertise in a flexible, remote consulting environment.
This opportunity is designed for established educators who have built strong careers in teaching, instructional leadership, curriculum design, or education management, and are now exploring more flexible ways to apply those skills beyond traditional systems.
Many of the professionals we work with are in midlife and are looking for additional income streams, greater autonomy, and work that feels aligned with their experience and values.
About the Role
In this independent consulting role, you will support structured career and leadership development conversations with professionals exploring new directions in their working lives.
Your experience in education will be applied in a new context, focused on facilitation, communication, and guided professional reflection.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate structured virtual conversations focused on leadership and career development
  • Use mentoring and instructional skills to support individual clarity and growth
  • Engage with professionals through digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn and Zoom) within established guidelines
  • Contribute to learning-focused content and professional development initiatives
  • Work independently within a structured consulting framework

This opportunity may suit you if you:
  • Have 5+ years of experience in education, instructional leadership, curriculum development, or related fields
  • Are confident facilitating conversations and supporting others' development
  • Are comfortable working in a remote, technology-enabled environment
  • Are self-directed and professionally accountable
  • Are open to consulting or independent work models alongside your current career or commitments

Engagement Structure
  • Independent contractor role (not employment)
  • Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time options available)
  • Structured onboarding and ongoing support provided
  • Work is remote across North America and globally
  • Compensation aligned to engagement outcomes within a consulting framework

Additional Information
  • This is not a salaried employment position
  • Not suitable for students or recent graduates
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in North America
  • Full details will be shared during the initial conversation with qualified candidates

About Popcorn Potential

We focus on leadership development, career transition support, and structured professional growth frameworks designed for people who want to remain active in their careers, while gaining more autonomy over how they work.
