Job description

The Insurance Business Development Associate works closely with senior business development professionals and relationship managers, providing day to day support in their coverage of insurance companies across the U.S. This job has responsibility for representing all investment solutions (public and private fixed income, public and private equity, real estate, and real assets) across the Nuveen platform. The Associate is a vital part of Nuveen's Insurance team, directly involved with capital raising, relationship management and strategic projects to grow the business.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partner with senior business development and relationship managers to support capital raising and client retention initiatives

  • Create and contribute to development of intellectual capital and analytics for engagement with U.S. insurance companies

  • Assist with maintaining territory business plans and analyzing opportunities for engagement with insurance companies

  • Coordinate the production of marketing and meeting materials

  • Utilize applications such as Salesforce and S&P Capital IQ for meeting preparation, activity & pipeline capture, and to run competitive analysis of products.

  • Monitor industry trends and opportunities by reviewing industry publications, and contributes to overall Insurance team with sales and client service ideas, best practices and learned industry knowledge.

  • Work with resources across Nuveen (such as investment and marketing teams) to deliver the firm's expertise and capabilities to insurance companies
