What You'll Do

This role involves assisting a teacher in a classroom of 14 to 20 Head Start children. The primary duties include planning, implementing, and maintaining the Head Start program, building relationships with families, and coordinating communication and services. Additional responsibilities may include record keeping, monitoring, and self-assessment.

Qualifications

  • Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed
  • Driver’s license required for teachers, leadership team and family advocates
  • Basic computer literacy in email, word processing and internet navigation (for all positions except for the cook, custodian).
  • Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid, if required
