Summary
  • As theMarketing Operations Associate Managerfor the Learning & Development business at Newell Brands, you will lead the execution and continuous improvement of processes that support the Learning & Development (L&D) segment (Writing brands such as Sharpie, Paper Mate, Elmer's, EXPO, and Mr. Sketch. Baby brands like Graco, Nuk, and Baby Jogger). You are a key strategic partner and operations lead in support of the Brand Marketing teams in all day-to-day needs and key business initiatives.
  • As a result, you will have an agile secondary involvement across multiple other teams such as Supply Chain, Design, Sales, Sales Ops, Display Ops, MD&P, Finance, Procurement, Digital Marketing, and R&D.
  • In this role, you are a crucial hub, managing complex workflows, owning vendor relationships, transforming process gaps, simplifying communications, and ensuring the seamless delivery of all brand initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
Sample Management
  • Own end-to-end management of product sample logistics for brand campaigns, trade shows, internal reviews, sales meetings, social influencer requests, and special events.
  • Place orders in Salesforce as requested.
  • Lead communication with cross-functional teams on all sample requests.
  • Own and maintain sample tracker document to ensure constant organization, detailed accuracy, tracking updates, and timely fulfillment of all sample requests.
  • Evaluate and improve sample request processes to reduce order issues.
  • Problem-solve issues that inevitably arise with occasional order logistics.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Facilitate and lead regular meetings as needed/requested with cross-functional partners to drive alignment on milestones, opportunities, and deadlines.
  • Provide project oversight and accountability tracking for Marketing Operations deliverables across teams (decks, updates).

Campaign Support
  • Act as primary liaison with brand on executional elements of influencer and consumer review campaigns (e.g., Bazaarvoice).
  • Strategically monitor vendor performance with timely communication with brand to drive successful product launches.
  • Provide integral support for new item setup (PIM system), including formatting of product hierarchy to reflect ever-changing brand restructuring.

Event Marketing
  • Lead the coordination of event marketing operations and asset readiness in collaboration with other Marketing Operations teammates and in partnership with Brand teams.
  • Includes a broad range of activities such as ideating booth design, booth setup/teardown, onsite booth activation, managing graphic designers, interacting with prospective vendors and/or hotels, assisting with cost estimates and budget, leading brainstorms, presentation facilitation assistance, managing video monitor displays, and many other ad hoc requests.

SKU Data and SKU Rationalization Support
  • Manage monthly update of key sales data into brand product portfolios (via Excel).
  • Support SKU rationalization discussions and provide assistance as requested in streamlining workflow.

Team Support & Coverage
  • Serve as a backup for the Manager and other Marketing Operations team members when needed.
  • Lead special projects and pilot initiatives aimed at process optimization and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant field or proven work experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of retail, supply chain, marketing, event marketing, and/or promotions all preferred.
  • Positive "can do" attitude and proactive problem solver.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software quickly. Excel superuser a nice to have.
  • Organization and prioritization ability; set deadlines and manage resources efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and comfortable around data.
  • Interest in growing AI business tools to streamline processes
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; cross-functional communication across teams and leadership.
  • Passion for the Writing and/or Baby product portfolios at Newell Brands is a huge plus!
  • 15% travel required and ability to handle boxes over 50lbs sometimes needed.
