Job description

Position Overview
James Lane Air Conditioning Company, Inc. is seeking a Plumber's Apprentice to join our Special Projects Department. This role is designed for individuals with at least two years of plumbing or pipefitting experience who are eager to expand their skills under the guidance of experienced plumbers. The apprentice will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and fire protection systems in a commercial and construction setting. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The Plumber's Apprentice will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring proper material handling, and maintaining compliance with safety and industry regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with Installations & Repairs: Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and waste systems.
  • On-Site Support: Aid on job sites by preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for plumbing projects.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions, shadow experienced plumbers, and learn proper techniques, tools, and safety practices.
  • Maintenance & Cleanup: Help maintain a safe and organized work area, including cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and local plumbing codes while assisting on projects.
