Job description

MAIN FUNCTION:

We are seeking an HR professional who is passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience while serving as the primary administrator of our employee benefits programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational excellence with strategic thinking and wants the opportunity to help shape and improve our HR programs.

The successful candidate will own day-to-day benefits administration while partnering with HR leadership and external vendors to continuously enhance our benefits offerings. In addition, this individual will play a key role in onboarding new employees, coordinating learning and development initiatives, and supporting the rollout and ongoing management of our Learning Management System (LMS).

We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience. For more experienced professionals, this role offers the opportunity to influence benefit strategy, vendor management, and program design. For developing HR professionals with a strong benefits foundation, the role provides opportunities for growth into broader HR responsibilities


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience administering employee benefit (health and welfare plans, 401(k) plans, COBRA, leave administration, and employee wellness programs).
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.

Preferred

Benefits Administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, leave programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage employee enrollments, life events, qualifying status changes, and annual Open Enrollment.
  • Ensure accurate benefits data and timely processing with payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefit plans, eligibility, claims, and enrollment.
  • Partner with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and improve service.
  • Assist with compliance activities related to ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, and other applicable regulations.
  • Analyze benefit utilization, employee feedback, and market trends to recommend enhancements to benefit offerings.
  • Support benefit renewals and assist in evaluating new benefit programs and vendors.

Learning & Development

  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing administration of the company's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop, organize, and maintain training materials and learning content.
  • Coordinate required compliance training and track completion.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify learning needs and recommend training solutions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of employee development programs.

Employee Onboarding & HR Operations

  • Coordinate and facilitate the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees.
  • Prepare new hire documentation and ensure timely completion of required employment paperwork.
  • Deliver engaging new hire orientation sessions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to create a positive onboarding experience.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities including transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS.

HR Support

  • Assist with employee communications and HR initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement activities and wellness programs.
  • Participate in HR projects focused on process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
