Position Title: Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
Position Summary: The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. This role assists with implementing daily classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining classroom organization, and promoting each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
- Â Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.Â
- Â Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.Â
- Â Support children with daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions.Â
- Â Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.Â
- Â Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.Â
- Â Encourage children's social, emotional, and academic growth through positive interactions.Â
- Â Follow all state licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.Â
- Â Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers.Â
- Â Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.Â
- Â Communicate classroom needs and concerns to the Lead Teacher and management team.Â
Qualifications:
- Â High school diploma or equivalent required.Â
- Â Previous experience working with young children
- Â Strong communication and teamwork skills.Â
- Â Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Â Passion for early childhood education and child development.Â
- Â Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and required certifications.Â
Physical Requirements:- Â Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Â
- Â Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day.Â
- Â Ability to respond quickly to children's needs and emergencies.Â
