QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Transcript, DD214, or GED.  Transcript showing 48 college hours or Para-Professional.  PLEASE ATTACH REQUIRED DOCUMENTS.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions.
 
  • Assist teacher in the management of student arrival and departure activities.
  • Assist with the individual goals of students.
  • Support learning experiences that will assist students in a successful return to the classroom setting.
  • Assist in the supervision of students and personal needs of students.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain safety and welfare of students. 
  • Provide one-to-one assistance with academic and/or daily activities.
  • Assist in student personal hygiene (may include changing diapers, assist in feeding, dressing or bathroom functions, cleaning face/hands).
  • Provide the teacher with clerical assistance, organizing materials for distribution and recording information.
  • Assist teacher in daily instruction and supervision of self-contained programs serving students with Autism, Multiple Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, Severe-Profound, Intellectually Disabled and/or Development Delayed.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk and bend/kneel while completing responsibilities listed previously.
  • Other duties as assigned.
