The opportunity

Job Summary

The Copies Plus Student Manager serves as the primary student leader for Copies Plus, Southern New Hampshire University's student-operated print center located in the Robert A. Freese Student Center. In this role, you'll work alongside the Student Involvement Coordinator to oversee daily operations, support and mentor fellow student employees, and help provide high-quality print services for students, faculty, staff, departments, and campus organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support Copies Plus student employees through coaching, training, feedback, and ongoing professional development.

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and evaluating student staff.

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and excellent customer service.

  • Assist with daily operations of Copies Plus by organizing print jobs and making sure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.

  • Organize and prioritize multiple print projects to help the team meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service.

  • Produce a variety of print products including copying, large-format posters, laminating, binding, finishing, and specialty print services.

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain print production equipment, including copiers, large-format printers, laminators, binding equipment, and related technology.

  • Maintain inventory levels, monitor supply usage, and assist with purchasing recommendations to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Maintain accurate operational records including work orders, inventory documentation, production tracking, and service documentation.

  • Complete daily cash handling procedures, reconciliation, deposits, and departmental billing with accuracy and accountability.

  • Facilitate regular staff meetings and communicate operational updates, expectations, and organizational priorities.

  • Utilize technology, print management software, and university systems to manage print requests, organize workflow, and communicate with staff.

  • Partner with the Student Involvement Coordinator on new ideas, projects, and improvements that enhance the student and customer experience.

  • Perform additional duties that support the mission and operation of Copies Plus and the Office of Student Involvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be currently enrolled as a student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at SNHU.

  • Students with Federal Work Study as part of their financial aid package may receive hiring priority.

  • Be capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Be comfortable learning and utilizing technology, office software, and production equipment.

Work Schedule
