Job Description:
Summary:
The Learning Content Designer is responsible for developing engaging learning materials that meet defined learning objectives, use appropriate training modalities and methods, and follow established processes and adult learning principles.
ย 
Roles and Responsibilities:
Upon onboarding and completing required qualifications, the Learning Content Designer will:
โ€ข Analyze role-specific learner needs and tasks to craft measurable learning objectives
โ€ข Identify commonalities in learning needs across digital audiences and adapt content as appropriate
โ€ข Collaborate within the team and with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new or update existing learning content tailored to a range of digital audiences, including highly technical learners (such as engineers), support helpdesk professionals, and digital sales, sales engineers and implementation teams
โ€ข Collaborate with multimedia teams to create or modify media assets incorporated in learning materials
โ€ข Proactively manage the content development process including milestones, risks, review cycles, feedback implementation, and quality assurance
โ€ข Manage and monitor deliverables throughout the implementation, translation, and launch process, providing regular status updates to project teams
โ€ข Evaluate learning content using qualitative and quantitative methods to drive design/development improvements and workflow efficiencies
Required Skills and Experience
โ€ข 3-7 yrs. relevant professional experience
โ€ข Ability to be certified on applicable digital content
โ€ข Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training, and assessments
โ€ข Delivery of training in a professional or classroom setting, as needed
โ€ข Demonstrated application of adult learning theory, analysis tools and process, evaluation tools and models, assessment best practices, and learning objective construction
โ€ข Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
โ€ข Experience working and collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to create robust content solutions
โ€ข Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple development projects and deadlines, and adapt to project changes
โ€ข Ability to present clear solutions that drive alignment and cross-functional buy-in
โ€ข Ability to work with instructional design processes, tools, and templates
โ€ข Strong organizational skills
โ€ข Excellent attention to detail
โ€ข Must provide work samples and/or portfolio
Required Education and Training
โ€ข Minimum college degree required (Instructional Design, Education, or Science/Engineering degree preferred)
โ€ข Software proficiency:
o Articulate Rise
o Articulate Storyline
o Camtasia
o MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
o Smartsheet or equivalent project management tool

Preferred Skills and Experience
โ€ข Minimum 1-2 years of experience in biotech or medical device organization preferred
โ€ข Curriculum Development or Instructional Design/Technology master's degree preferred
โ€ข Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency preferred
