Saint Michael's College invites applications forย a Graduate Assistant for the Institute for the Environment(I4E).The College isย seekingย a qualified and passionate graduate student to support faculty in designing and delivering enhanced environmental education through hands-on, experiential outdoor learning. This role partners closely with instructors to integrate the outdoor classroom into engaging, real-world learning experiences. As a member of the I4E team, you will promote sustainability education and foster a culture of environmental stewardship across campus. The position contributes to and implements initiatives aligned with the college's strategic plan, Forward with Purpose. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about sustainability, skilled in collaboration, and committed to advancing innovative educational practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ย
- Meet and coordinate with Katy Farber, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning weekly to organize, plan, and discuss upcoming events and goals.ย ย
- Organizing, planning, tracking projects, and communicating project logistic and follow up using Project Management Software ย
- Lead outreach, tracking, andย logisticsย to support I4E projects and school visitsย ย
- Track and collect data for teaching and learning projects and write blogs to help with campus and community communications about T& L events/activitiesย ย
- Coordinate outreach with a focus beyond the college and community using the Institute's resources and programsย
- ย School outreach and coordination with K-12 schools/teachersย
- Engage inย professional development opportunities.ย ย
- Support undergraduate Ed students with planning and preparing lessons, activities, and materials for school field trips led byย undergradย Ed classesย ย
- Foster use of technology and streamlining systems and tools to maximize resources within the Institute.ย ย
- Assist with Institute and Admission eventsย ย
- Assistย with projects and otherย duties asย assigned.ย ย
Compensation:ย Tuition atย $675/credit up to 18 creditsย per academic year PLUS stipend ofย $20.00/hour for 16 hours/weekย Ifย credits are for an independentย studyย theyย can notย be reimbursed/remission does not apply.

Eligibility:ย
To be eligible for this position, applicant must be an admitted student in a Graduate program at Saint Michael's College.ย ย The three programs include Graduate Education, Graduate Clinical Psychology, and Graduate TESOL.ย ย
Note: Students who willย be studentย teaching or interning full-time in the spring semester are not eligible.ย ย
