WHAT YOU'LL DO
Business Development Representatives excel in having conversations online, through email and by phone. They are great researchers, have a positive outlook and are not easily discouraged. In this position, you will partner with field sales representatives and marketing personnel to generate demand with outbound prospecting and qualifying inbound leads.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Burlington, MA or Leawood, KS office location.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
  • Develop strategies to draw in potential buyers and solicit new customers
  • Develop and execute a daily high-volume outbound activity process that includes e-mail and phone calls to drive new leads and opportunities
  • Follow up on inbound leads who have shown interest in products or services offered
  • Create relationships with prospects to identify their needs / pain points and qualify their revenue potential and purchase timing
  • Create early-stage lead / opportunity within the CRM system and track tasks throughout the qualification process
  • Schedule qualified appointments with prospects to connect them with the appropriate salesperson for further sales consultation
  • Follow up with potential leads / customers who expressed interest but did not purchase (longer term nurturing)
  • Collaborate and report progress to Management to ensure that you are focused on the company's goals
  • Achieve monthly activity / sales metric quotas

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field
  • Experience working with D365 or Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Positive attitude with the desire to work in a rapid-growth, entrepreneurial environment
  • Self-starter that is driven to succeed with a strong work ethic
  • Proven prospecting and business development success through the effective use of sales tools: LinkedIn, Microsoft Office and various CRM systems
  • Comfortable working with potential customers to identify pain points, understand requirements and correlate the value of the solutions that we can provide to address their specific pain points
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with remote sales teams

HIRING RANGE
The current full-time annualized hiring range for this role is $42,300.00-$60,500.00 and does not include discretionary bonus or sales incentives, if applicable. In accordance with applicable state laws, we are providing the expected salary range for this position. Individual compensation will be determined by various factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, current business needs and local market factors. Most regular, full-time employees are eligible to participate in an Ascend incentive bonus or sales plan.
