Job Description

At Atlas, we're providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive, and if you’re a WABO Special Inspector ready to provide valuable special inspection services on some of the largest transportation projects in the PNW, then this is your moment. The ideal Inspector will be WABO certified, preferably structural steel and post tensioned concrete. Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct applicable inspections as scheduled
  • High proficiency with verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand project specifications and drawings
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of results is essential

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • WABO certification required. Preferably structural steel and post tensioned concrete.
  • Preferred certifications including ICC (multiple categories), ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge, WSDOT/WAQTC, CWI, NACE and other materials related certifications
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long and emergency timeframes
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds one a regular basis
  • Familiarity with construction practices and materials testing
  • Valid driver's license upon hire
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
