Job description

We’re looking for bold, entrepreneurial talent ready to help build something extraordinary — and reshape the future of building products distribution.

QXO is a publicly traded company founded by Brad Jacobs with the goal of building the market-leading company in the building products distribution industry. On April 30, 2025, QXO completed its first acquisition: Beacon Building Products, a leading distributor in the sector.

We are building a customer-focused, tech-enabled, and innovation-driven business that will scale rapidly through accretive M&A, organic growth, and greenfield expansion. Our strategy is rooted in delivering exceptional customer experiences, improving operational efficiency, and leveraging data, digital tools, and AI to modernize a historically under-digitized industry.

What you’ll do
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and implement learning strategies that directly support outside/field sales and the national accounts team.
  • Execute the learning strategy, aligning programs with evolving go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation, and product/service offerings to ensure sales teams are prepared and competitive.
  • Forecast annual programs to meet organization growth, developing strategic roadmaps and performing organizational risk analysis.
  • Recommend and support the design and facilitation of blended learning programs tailored to the sales organizations and various sales roles.
  • Develop tailored leadership development pathways and upskilling initiatives for sales managers and high‑potential talent within sales functions.
  • Utilize data‑driven insights and sales performance analytics to assess learning effectiveness and optimize content, delivery methods, and reinforcement.
  • Collaborate with the business on current/upcoming initiatives that may or may not require training interventions. Once a need for training is determined, this role owns the strategic program design and delivery recommendations, creates detailed high‑level designs, secures approval from the business, and maintains program management.
  • Lead and execute the corporate learning and development strategies, programs, curriculum, and learning processes on behalf of the sales organization. Interface and collaborate with sales leadership in the development and implementation of technology‑based learning initiatives that are aligned, efficient, and effective in relation to the business strategy.
What you’ll bring
  • 7-10+ years of experience in learning, including instructional design, facilitation, delivery methodologies, adult learning theory, current training methods, needs/job task analysis, and talent development. Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years in a sales or sales support role, with an adept understanding of sales practices, selling methodologies, value‑proposition alignment, prospecting processes, and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of sales environments with direct experience supporting or working in outside/field sales and/or national accounts. Substantial experience in the building materials, construction, or distribution industry, with an understanding of the unique workforce and commercial dynamics in those sectors.
  • Project management experience managing multiple portfolios or programs, with enterprise‑wide implementations among stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience partnering with sales leadership to align learning strategies with revenue growth goals, sales enablement, and customer engagement outcomes.
  • Exceptional cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management skills in complex, fast‑paced environments.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Oracle), Salesforce or other CRM platforms, and a clear understanding of how sales data and systems integrate into learning and performance strategies.
What you’ll earn
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • PTO, company holidays, and parental leave
  • Paid training and certifications
  • Legal assistance and identity protection
  • Pet insurance
  • Employee assistance program (EAP)

QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diversity and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
