Director of Learning & Development

As the Director of Learning & Development at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, you will oversee and implement all training initiatives for the hotel and corporate functions. You will work collaboratively with People & Culture and department heads to assess needs, develop, facilitate, and evaluate training programs that drive operational effectiveness and guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and evaluate new training initiatives to maximize operational effectiveness and guest satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and present corporate training programs in accordance with Accor requirements, covering topics such as harassment‑free workplace, diversity, communication, and leadership.
  • Conduct meetings with Department Heads, trainers, and employees to review performance trends, develop action plans, and provide recognition.
  • Facilitate and support Fairmont Learning Programs, focusing on New Hire Orientation, Heartist Journey, Service Culture, and Luxury Service Standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience developing and facilitating management and leadership development training programs.
  • Experience in a similar function within a luxury hotel is an asset.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, customer‑service focused, positive attitude, and impeccable integrity.
