Job Description

As an integral member of the Electronics team, the Sales Manager will be the commercial face of Lear with the customer. They will support the cross-functional teams in quoting program changes and extensions, as well as lead new Electronics business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Role and Required Skill Set

  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering, purchasing, quality, and program management teams at both the customer as well as Lear
  • Support long-term agreements and manage price adjustments related to volume changes, inflation costs, program extensions, and engineering changes
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, operations, quality, and finance teams to ensure successful program launches
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and plant visits as needed
  • Analyze competitive landscape and provide insights to leadership on customer and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex, long-cycle sales opportunities
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead new business quote, acting as the quote program manager to ensure proper internal approvals are received prior to the customer quote due date,
  • Ability to present and get approval of business proposals in front of Lear executive leadership.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, including pricing strategies and cost analysis
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global organization
  • Ability to manage Account Managers
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
Experience Requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of automotive experience, with 5 years in Sales
  • Working knowledge of program and operational finance
  • Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • MBA
  • Experience working in automotive Electronics
  • Experience working with Stellantis and Asian OEM's
