PRODUCTION OPERATOR TEAM MEMBER COLUMBIA CITY, IN - COLUMBIA CITY PLANT

As a team Member of Lear Corporation's Columbia City plant, our Production Operators are responsible for the assembly of high-quality seats while ensuring that safety standards are always followed. Work is performed in a clean, bright, temperature-controlled environment. Our Production Operators achieve certification according to a proven training process and actively participate in Lear's High-Performance Work Team model, geared to achieve plant performance goals and objectives.

The Role:

Your main role will be to assemble truck seats in a Just in Time (JIT) work environment. The work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to standard work instructions (SWIs).
  • Adhere to 5S and "World Class Housekeeping" standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and understand performance goals and objectives.
  • Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Availability to work any Shift.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Available and flexible to work daily overtime with short notice, weekends, open to any shift, at any time.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a Background Check, a Drug Screen, and a Physical Abilities Test.
  • Must be dependable. Perfect attendance is desired.
  • High School Diploma or GED (verification is required).

Physical Requirements:

  • Team Members are frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for up to 12 hours a day.
  • While performing the duties of this position, team members are regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel.  Must also be able to talk and hear.
  • Team member must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Team Member must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
