Job description

As a Lean Business Improvement Manager you will be responsible for;

Key Responsibilities:
 
Project Leadership & Governance
  • Lead Lean Business Improvement Projects (LBIPs) from initiation through deployment and sustainment.
  • Develop and maintain project identification documents, business cases, project charters, and macro-level project plans.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Organize and facilitate major milestone reviews and governance meetings.
  • Prepare and present milestone review reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Business & Technical Analysis
  • Perform detailed assessments of current-state ("As-Is") processes, systems, tools, and operational practices.
  • Conduct technical analyses to identify improvement opportunities and define future-state ("To-Be") solutions.
  • Evaluate process impacts across people, tools, systems, and operational workflows.
  • Gather and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to ensure business needs are incorporated into solutions.
  • Identify and validate quick-win opportunities that deliver measurable value.
Change Management & Communication
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies.
  • Identify impacted stakeholder populations and assess organizational readiness.
  • Create communication plans and communication toolkits to support project adoption.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout project execution.
  • Support training and deployment activities to ensure successful implementation.
Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, constraints, and blockers.
  • Develop mitigation plans and corrective actions to address identified risks.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure action plans are effectively executed and tracked to completion.
Deployment & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop technical deployment and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate project execution with Quality, Production, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operational Support teams.
  • Track project benefits against established targets and KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and sustainment activities following deployment.
  • Promote Lean methodologies and best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, continuous improvement, manufacturing operations, quality, or industrial engineering.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Change Management principles.
  • Experience performing process mapping, impact assessments, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industry experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with production, quality, and engineering processes in a Final Assembly Line (FAL) environment.
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies and organizational change management frameworks

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
