About This Role:
The Materials Engineer designs and optimizes material flows, packaging, and replenishment systems at a Carrier manufacturing facility, supporting the operation with efficient, lean line-side presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs material flows, picking routes, and line-side presentation systems.
  • Defines packaging, containers, and material handling parameters.
  • Implements pull systems (kanban) and replenishment loops.
  • Supports warehouse design and logistics layouts.
  • Supports NPI launches and production ramp-up activities.
  • Analyzes and optimizes inventory and flow.
  • Strengthen warehouse optimization and line-side material presentation responsibilities.
  • Owns inventory optimization, replenishment performance, and material flow efficiency.
  • Expands expectations around data analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of materials-engineering or logistics-engineering experience. 
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not available for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field.
  • Experience designing material flows, picking routes, and line-side presentation systems.
  • Working knowledge of packaging, containers, and material-handling parameters.
  • Experience implementing pull systems (kanban) and replenishment loops.
  • Proficiency with design and analysis tools for logistics/flow. Experience supporting new production lines.
  • Knowledge of Lean Logistics.
  • Proficiency with design and analysis tools.
