Sloomoo celebrates joy through an interactive experiential world, focused on slime, hands-on play, and all things #satisfying. Sloomoo launched in October of 2019 with an immersive 12,000 square-foot experience in Soho, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights (you can slingshot slime, walk on slime, design your own slime, and more) converge with glossy, contemporary design.


Sloomoo’s universe has expanded - there are now a total of 5 Institutes (NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta) and two MiniMoos (Boston, Philadelphia) with more to come.


MiniMoos are smaller than the Institutes but packed with as much color, surprise, and play.

Position Summary

The role of Porter is critical to the success of Sloomoo. The porters will work under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and in collaboration with the Managers on Duty, and assist with the physical upkeep and maintenance of the facility. The ideal candidate is a highly capable and dedicated team member who is able to fulfill basic building and attraction maintenance work as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. Porters keep the venue and production areas clean, safe, and in mint condition.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Facility Upkeep

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors across all areas of the facility
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, work areas, windows, and mirrors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all guest-facing and back-of-house spaces
  • Clean, sanitize, and fully stock restrooms throughout shifts
  • Remove trash and recycling regularly and maintain waste areas
  • Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and properly stocked

Light Maintenance & Repairs

  • Complete minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and tightening fixtures
  • Perform basic painting and touch-ups to maintain the appearance of walls, benches, and surfaces
  • Assist with small patchwork, caulking, and general upkeep projects as needed
  • Identify maintenance issues and notify the Porter Lead of larger repair needs

Outdoor & General Maintenance (as applicable)

  • Handle seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and snow clearing
  • Maintain exterior areas, including litter removal and general upkeep
  • Support basic groundskeeping tasks, such as watering plants if applicable

Operations & Support

  • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance checklists
  • Complete end-of-shift reports and ensure all assigned tasks are finished
  • Lock and secure the facility at the end of night shifts when scheduled

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures and the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Operate standard cleaning tools and basic power equipment safely
  • Adhere to all company policies and operational standards
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 Experience as porter in hospitality, restaurant or other relevant industry.
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
