Job description

This role involves cleaning and maintaining water towers and other elevated structures to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Technicians will work at heights, using specialized equipment and techniques to remove dirt, debris, and contaminants while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Education: High school or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday; with some weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance on water towers and other elevated structures, cooling tower repairs, parts replacement, and Sump and surface recoating.

  • Use pressure washers, cleaning solutions, and manual scrubbing tools to remove dirt, algae, rust, and other contaminants.

  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of fall protection, harnesses, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Inspect towers for structural integrity and report any issues or damages.

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring proper functionality.

  • Work in various weather conditions and heights while ensuring personal and team safety.

  • Adhere to industry regulations and company policies regarding safety and environmental compliance.

  • Travel to different job sites as required, including out of town and overnights.

  • Comfortable working at significant heights and in confined spaces.

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to properly lift and carry 60 pounds unassisted.

  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • Experience in cooling tower maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus.
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work out of town, overnights
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
