Job description

Job Summary:
HistoWiz is a rapidly growing life science company that focuses on automating histology and digital pathology solutions for leading pharma, biotech, and academic institutions. They are seeking a talented Sr. Manager of Engineering to develop and maintain software applications while collaborating with a team of engineers and product managers to drive strategic initiatives and enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Write scalable, testable, and maintainable code for the frontend and backend
โ€ข Work closely with customers and internal team to strategically prioritize features on the product roadmap
โ€ข Make critical architectural decisions. Research new technologies and understand complexity tradeoffs
โ€ข Build robust data pipelines to feed into machine learning algorithms
โ€ข Provide technical support to the internal team
โ€ข Handle automated deployments and maintenance for web servers
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in Django / Python
โ€ข Reasonable experience with React or similar frontend framework
โ€ข Experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud provider
โ€ข Experience in full-stack web development, including front-end and back-end development
โ€ข Can help manage a team of external engineers
โ€ข Organized, manages complex workload well, and execution oriented
โ€ข Demonstrated leadership and capability to see projects through completion
โ€ข Effective technical communication skills to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
โ€ข Living in or willing to relocate to NYC to work in person
