Development Manager, Inflators

The Manager, Inflator Product Development is responsible for leading the Inflator Product Development team, ensuring the successful execution of product development activities, achievement of project deliverables, and alignment with organizational objectives. This role oversees team performance, budget management, resource planning, and the professional development of team members while driving innovation and operational excellence.

In this role you will be responsible for
  • To propose and follow up team-level actions and continuous improvements.

  • To escalate and cascade information communication.

  • To follow-up indicators and report.

  • To adapt his management style to individuals.

  • To get standard respected and continuous improvement.

  • To contribute to a good collaboration between teams and services.

  • To solve technical problems, design product.

  • To understand simulation and test capabilities, product assembly processes and component manufacturing processes.

  • To use and promote tools for design, quality, statistics, robustness, problem solving.

  • To use design project and standards : Advanced Engineering Studies (AES), preAPDS AS108, APDS AS100.

  • To respect customer specifications and regulations.

  • To understand customer system environment.
    To use standard IT office software

  • To use and make team use product development specific software (e.g. PLM, Bluesky, UTS Viewer, GEO, Impart, tools released by simulation team and ecodesign team,…).

  • To use APS tools (5S,…).

What is required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Engineering background in mechanics and thermodynamics. Pyrotechnics would be appreciated.

  • 10- 15 years of experience in product development, engineering, or automotive safety systems.

  • 5-10 years of experience leading technical teams and managing product development projects.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, and resource planning.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
