P91 Roofing

Job description

About P91 Roofing

P91 Roofing is a Houston-area roofing company serving residential and commercial property owners. We are expanding our commercial roofing business and are looking for a highly energetic, outgoing professional to help us build relationships throughout Houston’s commercial real estate and business communities.

This is not a traditional roofing sales position.

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, attending events, making connections and opening doors. Your primary responsibility is to create relationships and qualified introductions for P91 Roofing’s commercial team—not estimate roofs, negotiate contracts or close roofing projects. This is neither a sales nor a marketing job. It is a networking, relationship-building experience.

The Role

As our Business Development Associate, you will become one of the faces of P91 Roofing in the Houston business community.

You’ll attend commercial real estate events, networking events, chamber meetings, industry luncheons, realtor events, trade-association events and other business gatherings.

Your mission is simple:

Meet the right people → Build relationships → Identify opportunities → Make introductions → Set qualified appointments.

Our commercial roofing team takes it from there.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent P91 Roofing at Houston-area networking and industry events.
  • Develop relationships with commercial property managers, building owners, facility managers, commercial real estate brokers, general contractors, developers and business owners.
  • Attend approximately 5–7 strategic networking activities per week.
  • Identify and engage prospective commercial roofing customers and referral partners.
  • Follow up personally with contacts after events.
  • Connect and engage with prospects through LinkedIn.
  • Schedule qualified introductory meetings for P91’s commercial roofing team.
  • Maintain accurate records of relationships, conversations and follow-up activities in our CRM.
  • Help identify new networking groups, associations and events where P91 should have a presence.
  • Develop long-term referral relationships rather than simply generating one-time leads.
  • Work with P91 leadership to continuously improve our commercial business-development strategy.

Who We’re Looking For

Roofing experience is not required.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly outgoing and energetic.
  • Naturally comfortable meeting new people (the type that walks into a crowded room and opens up rather than shrink away).
  • Professional and polished.
  • Confident walking into a networking event alone.
  • Excellent at starting conversations.
  • Curious and genuinely interested in other people.
  • Persistent without being overly aggressive.
  • Organized and disciplined about following up.
  • Comfortable communicating with executives and business owners.
  • Active and comfortable using LinkedIn.
  • Motivated by goals and measurable results.
  • Interested in building a career in business development.

Experience in business development, recruiting, hospitality, commercial real estate, property management, title, insurance, SaaS sales, event marketing or other relationship-driven industries is a plus, but not necessary.

Natural fits for this position:

  • Recent college grads
  • Out-going early career professionals
  • Young real estate professionals looking to explore other options
  • Motivated professionals who have experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants
  • Super networkers
  • Someone who already hold these types of relationships

What This Position Is NOT

You are not expected to:

  • Climb roofs.
  • Prepare roofing estimates.
  • Become a roofing technical expert before starting.
  • Negotiate roofing contracts.
  • Pressure people into purchasing roofing services.
  • Close every opportunity you create.

We’ll teach you the commercial roofing knowledge necessary to confidently represent P91.

Your primary job is to create opportunities and get P91 into conversations we wouldn’t otherwise be having.

Compensation

This is a base + commission model position. Yes, the base is small, but the commission is limitless. Commercial roofing is extremely lucrative and our performance based incentives allows you to very easily exceed most entry level positions with just a small number of connections that turn into clients (closed by others, not you!).

Performance bonuses will be based on measurable business-development results including qualified appointments, new commercial accounts, relationship development, inspections generated and commercial opportunities created.

P91 will also cover approved business-development expenses, including networking events, association activities, etc.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Business Development Associate will consistently:

  • Meet new commercial decision-makers.
  • Grow P91’s Houston business network.
  • Build relationships with property managers and commercial property owners.
  • Generate qualified commercial appointments.
  • Create commercial roof inspection opportunities.
  • Develop referral relationships.
  • Increase P91’s visibility within Houston’s commercial real estate community.

The goal isn’t to collect business cards.

The goal is to turn relationships into conversations and conversations into commercial opportunities.
