Position Summary:

The Member Development Associate is a sales position responsible for identifying new leads, sourcing leads to appropriate products and centers, and facilitating discussions with c-suite executives around our products and services. Being an independent and hard-working professional, responsibilities include researching of companies and executives and following up with executives and assistants to schedule meetings for the Member Development sales team. Success in the position requires the person to possess strong organizational and writing skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. A grasp of sales strategy as well as a high level of professionalism and strong customer service skills is also necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential leads for the Account Executive, determining the best strategy to gain entry to a company.
  • Work directly with C-Suite level executives to garner interest in the Council or Center, overcome objections, and secure a first meeting appointment with the New Business Sales Team.
  • Send emails, follow ups, and make phone calls to schedule appointments for the Account Executive including confirming all appointments.
  • Be able to have an initial conversation about The Conference Board membership, products, and services.
  • Ensures that the sales contacts are professional, effective, and appropriate for facilitating the company's involvement with TCB.
  • Pull relevant leads reports consistently and per request of Account Executive, and then further qualifying and researching those leads.
  • Enters notes into CRM and database per request of Account Executive.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university with 1-2 years post graduate experience.
  • Background and passion in business development, account management, or marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
