The Spa at Torrey Pines 

Located at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, The Spa at Torrey Pines is a destination for quality spa treatments, luxury amenities, and exceptional service. The 9,500-square-foot space features 14 treatment rooms and spa services inspired by its natural surroundings of the Pacific Ocean and the indigenous plant life of the treasured Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.
The Lodge at Torrey Pines is owned by Evans Hotels, LLC, a family-owned and operated business committed to supporting and enhancing employee well-being through a variety of programs that nurture our staff professionally and personally. SUMMARY
The Spa Attendant ("Encargado/a del Spa") provides the highest levels of professionalism and gracious service to our guests at the Spa. Welcomes our guests and oversees lockers, relaxation lounges, fitness center, hotel pool, and daily guided nature walks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests. 
  • Responsible for the following areas: Locker, Relaxation Lounge, Fitness Center, Hotel Pool, Daily Tours. 
  • Ensures the facilities are orderly and well-maintained including stocking, refilling/replenishing guest amenities. 
  • Lead guided nature walks through the Torrey Pines State Reserve daily. 
  • Ensures the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation for the spa and fitness center. 
  • Ensures all amenities are available at all times for our guests. 
  • Provides our guests with locker assistance and supplies. 
  • Ensures cabanas are well maintained and serviced. 
  • Promotes the use of property activity equipment available to our guests. 
  • Assists our guests with instructions and rules on all outdoor games. 
  • Folds and stores chairs, blankets, and umbrellas at sundown. 
  • Follows the company’s safety and emergency procedures.    
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. 
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
