Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Lead Sound Designer to join our studio in Warsaw to drive audio development of Witcher 4. As a Lead Sound Designer, you will be responsible for leading the Sound Design team and collaborating with cross-discipline teams to create and deliver an immersive audio experience for our upcoming game. If you are an accomplished game audio artist and experienced leader with a passion for crafting soundscapes for widely respected, narrative-driven RPGs, we want to hear from you!

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Sound Designers and drive game audio development in the project.
  • Help define and maintain aesthetic continuity throughout the game and trailers, in alignment with previous releases in the IP where appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with project Directors, Leads, Producers, and cross-discipline teams (Music, VO, Programmers) to craft immersive, high-quality, and technologically advanced audio experiences.
  • Plan, revise, track, and execute milestones, sprints, and roadmap deliverables.
  • Support and coach team members to achieve impactful and high-quality in-game results while fostering their growth and development.
  • Support the design and development of innovative audio systems using Unreal Engine 5, Wwise middleware, and in-house tools.
  • Design, implement, and mix original and rich sound effects.
Qualifications
  • 7+years of professional experience in the video game industry, with involvement in multiple shipped AAA titles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role related to sound design or audio direction.
  • Strong creative skills and a focus on quality, evidenced by a portfolio, demo reel, or game credits.
  • Collaborative approach to navigating challenges and resolving design obstacles.
  • Exceptional artistic and creative competence.
  • Effective cross-disciplinary communication skills.
  • Ability to manage timelines and coordinate with teams.
  • Skilled communicator experienced in collaborating across development teams and providing supportive leadership to direct reports.
