Lead Security Support Specialist

K2 Group is searching for a Lead Security Support Specialist to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) directioriate.ย ย 
Duties:
  • Support development and drafting of CWMD security standard operating procedures (SOPs) including:ย 
    • SCI development and operations
    • Collateral development and operations
    • Provide document control and accountability of classified informationย 
    • Track security files
  • Maintain the CWMD OPSEC program.ย 
  • Provide security briefings/orientation for all staff including Senior Staff and incoming employeesย 
  • Coordinate with DHS Physical Security Section for installation and maintenance security hardware
  • Manage the GSA approved container lifecycle (safes).ย 
  • Submit visit authorization requests letters (collateral) to other agencies/companies for CWMD employeesย 
  • Coordinate and conduct program-wide assessments of collateral programs relative to Industrial Security requirementsย 
  • Provide guidance as necessary on how to process contractors for Facility Security Clearancesย 
  • Assist the technical staff on preparing a DD 254 and coordinate with the Industrial Security Program Branch for the issuance of DD 254s as requiredย 
  • Assist the CWMD staff in developing and updating a Security Classification Guideย 
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Must have at least three (3) years specialized experience in adjudication to include
    • in-depth knowledge of investigative requirements for the performance and adjudication of BIs
    • Reviewing and evaluating Reports of Investigations(ROIs) on applicant's, contractors, and employees
    • making security and suitability determinations
    • preparing written evaluations and statements of issues
