Lead Scheduler Cath Lab
The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Lead-Scheduler/Coordinator is responsible to provide oversight and direction to the OR administrative staff in preparing daily statistics, scheduling patients, submission of patient charges, and charge reconciliation. Incumbent trains staff in their daily activities and coordinates all administrative activities including prioritization of incoming phone calls, preparation of the daily call schedule, and completion of month end reports and monthly statistics. Incumbent works in conjunction coordination with the OR Charge Nurse to ensure effective and efficient flow of the OR schedules.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Medical terminology required.
Knowledge of various health insurance plans.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
Ability to lead others
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Computer experience, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
A minimum of 2 years previous surgery scheduling experience.
Completion of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or similar program preferred.
Previous lead experience preferred.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent.
