Job description

Job Purpose Summary:

Responsible for line service activities for a given area as assigned by the Ground Service Supervisor.  When workload requires, acts as Ground Service Representative.

Primary Accountabilities and Duties: 

  • Comply with the Location’s attendance/tardiness standards.
  • Responsible for monitoring Ground service activities as assigned by the Ground Service Supervisor. This includes coordination with Passenger Service Agents.
  • Performs all essential duties of Ramp Agents such as loading and unloading of baggage, choking of aircraft, connecting electrical power units to aircraft, position passenger stair to aircraft, replenishing water supply and servicing of lavatories.
  • Provides air start and air-conditioning.
  • Connects tow bar and tug for push back or towing aircraft.
  • Operates headset/radio to provide communication between ground crew and flight crew and tower.
  • Cleans ramp area and ground equipment.
  • Checks in baggage as required.
  • Knows and complies with all safety procedures.
  • Assists in scheduling of employees.

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Posess/maintain a valid Driver’s License and other FAA required identification/seals.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including, weekends and holidays.
  • Work is done indoors and outdoors – must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Able to continuously lift, push and pull up to 70 lbs.
