Job description

Lead Project Manager

Are you ready to lead from the front line of a top 10 bank? Do you thrive in a high-visibility environment where your strategic relationship-building and deep change delivery expertise translate directly into enterprise-wide transformation?

As a Lead Project Manager on the Network Product & Platforms (NPP) Ops Chief of Staff (COS) team, you won't just track tasks-you will act as an innovator and architect for how we work. In this senior individual contributor role, you will look holistically across our ecosystem to diagnose systemic operational friction between NPP, Tech, Risk and other cross-functional horizontal partners. Instead of reacting to fires, you will design the interaction models and communication frameworks that catch and eliminate friction before it turns into a risk event or business impediment. Success means turning proven operational wins into permanent, repeatable business habits so that execution remains well-managed.

You will own running organizational diagnostics, designing new delivery frameworks, and aligning associates around a shared operational narrative. While you do not own setting the overall strategic business vision, you will be fully empowered to build the structural architecture that brings that vision to life.

We are seeking a highly motivated, project management professional who blends sharp organizational prowess with exceptional change management and influencing skills. You are a strategic thinker who can craft compelling narratives for executive audiences, operate with significant autonomy, and enjoy the puzzle of translating sometimes dense risk requirements into clear, digestible operational rollouts.

In this role, you will enjoy significant exposure across senior leaders and cross-functional lines of business, empowering you to act as a heavy influencer across the NPP, Tech, and Risk organizations, to quickly establish structure in a dynamic environment and mitigate delivery risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Macro Operating Model Architecture: Design, implement, and evolve cross-functional interaction models and communication frameworks to systematically eliminate delivery friction.

  • Strategic Project & Program Direction: Lead moderate to large-scale, complex projects and programs by providing visionary strategic direction to peers and project teams.

  • Risk Governance & Prevention: Design robust risk and incident response frameworks, ensuring new risk mandates and policy updates are structurally integrated into daily operations.

  • Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Build powerful relationships, collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels across the enterprise, and leverage exceptional communication skills to manage expectations and influence strategic outcomes.

  • Tooling Strategy & Governance: Own and optimize the overarching design of our operational tool stack (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Googlesite, Data Studio, Slack, and tracking platforms), ensuring systems are structurally configured to capture critical delivery metrics and risk data without introducing process friction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 7 years of Project Management or Change management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci) or a proven track record of managing dense risk and operational shifts through large-scale rollouts.

  • At least 8 years of Project Management experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience closely partnering with Risk or Compliance organizations, with a proven ability to critically interrogate incoming mandates and translate them into digestible operational processes.

  • Experience institutionalizing organizational knowledge through the strategic design of foundational "Delivery Playbooks" and standardized templates.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of crafting compelling strategic narratives for executive audiences and translating dense, complex requirements into clear operational realities
