Lead Project Manager information

What is a lead project manager?

A Lead Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets the desired objectives. They lead project teams, manage resources, communicate with stakeholders, and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. Their role involves strategic planning, risk management, and ensuring that the project aligns with organizational goals. Lead Project Managers often supervise other project managers and play a crucial role in decision-making and problem-solving throughout the project.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a lead project manager?

To thrive as a Lead Project Manager, you need expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and a relevant degree or PMP certification. Proficiency with project management software like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana is typically required to coordinate tasks and track progress. Outstanding leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help manage teams and stakeholders effectively. These skills are essential for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What are some common challenges lead project managers face when overseeing multiple projects simultaneously?

Lead Project Managers often juggle several complex projects at once, which can present challenges such as resource allocation, conflicting deadlines, and maintaining clear communication across diverse teams. Staying organized and prioritizing tasks is crucial to ensure that each project's goals are met without overextending resources. Additionally, they must adeptly navigate stakeholder expectations and quickly resolve issues to keep projects on track, all while fostering collaboration and maintaining team morale.

Job description

WHO WE ARE

Our roots stretch back to 1911, when we were founded in Canada as an evangelism and Scripture distribution ministry led by a national membership of volunteers. Over the decades our ministry has broadened to inviting women and men of all vocations to share the gospel with innovative new Scripture resources alongside local church partners. In 2015, ShareWord Global was launched to help expand the work in more regions within Canada and around the world.

ShareWord Global (SWG) is a ministry committed to engaging the global Church to do one simple thing: go! Our mission is to ignite and fuel a passion in people’s hearts to share the gospel—training and equipping them, as a community of believers, to effectively introduce people to Jesus through God’s Word. SWG fuels the movement to “go!” and reach more people with the gospel through relational evangelism and training, innovative Scripture resources, and by partnering with local churches worldwide.

WHAT WE DO

Through partnerships with local church and other like-minded ministries, we equip Christians of all nations with evangelism training and Scripture materials, so they can feel more empowered to share the gospel in their communities. We ignite and fuel a passion in people’s hearts to share the gospel as a community of believers. Because together, we can tell the world.

OUR MISSION

We are committed to growing a community of Christians, unleashed to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through a combination of training, Scripture resources, and outreach opportunities.

OUR VISION

Until the Good News that was shared with us, is shared with all.
