Job description

We're looking for a Senior Multidisciplinary Designer with deep beauty, personal care, or consumer product experience to help shape the future of an iconic global beauty brand.

This is a highly visible role for a designer who is passionate about creating products that consumers interact with every day. You will lead the development of primary packaging and component design across a high-volume, trend-driven product portfolio, influencing everything from concept through production.

This is a packaging-forward design role with a strong emphasis on primary packaging and component design — bottles, caps, closures, compacts, applicators, and forms developed from scratch. You should be as comfortable sketching and iterating on the physical details of a package as you are designing the graphic system that lives on it.

We're seeking someone who is inspired by beauty culture, consumer trends, color, fashion, and product innovation. You understand how products create emotional connections with consumers and how exceptional packaging elevates the entire brand experience.

This role is ideal for a designer who loves materiality, tactility, proportion, and real-world execution — not just digital polish. You understand how a product feels in the hand, how it reflects light, how it wears over time, and how design choices support the brand experience.

You will work across packaging, print, social, digital, and brand content, helping build a cohesive, modern, and elevated visual language for a category-leading beauty brand.

Requirements

Primary & Structural Packaging Design
  • Concept, sketch, and develop primary packaging and component forms from scratch, including shapes, silhouettes, details, and material direction.
  • Translate design intent into production-ready files, specs, and technical documentation.
  • Explore materials, finishes, coatings, closures, and manufacturing methods.
  • Partner with Product Development and engineering teams to ensure feasibility, cost awareness, and executional quality.
  • Review prototypes, iterate on refinements, and guide designs through to production.
Brand & Visual Design
  • Design across packaging graphics, print, digital, and content deliverables, ensuring everything feels cohesive and intentional.
  • Create original visual concepts rooted in brand DNA — not templated or derivative.
  • Support stills, campaign, and content needs with design direction where needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Creative, and vendors/manufacturers.
  • Present concepts, mood, and rationale clearly and with intention.
  • Contribute to a culture of elevated taste, attention to detail, and creative rigor.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.

We offer a competitive benefits package including major medical, dental and vision insurance, FSA, HSA, and employee discounts.
