Job description

Peregrine Team is hiring for a Lead Operations Technician in the San Antonio, TX area. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity with full benefits and competitive pay.
Starting at $25/hour.
As a Lead Operations Technician, you will support bothfield operations and day-to-day administrative functions. This role is designed for someone who can work alongside field teams while learning and assisting with operational responsibilities such as timekeeping, travel coordination, per diem requests, hotel reservations, equipment purchasing, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of field operations and be able to provide coverage and support to leadership when needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily field operations and assist with coordinating Site Technicians and project activities
  • Work alongside field teams to develop a strong understanding of site operations, workflows, and project requirements
  • Lead, train, and mentor Site Technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and site-specific standards are followed
  • Oversee daily workflow, delegate tasks, and verify completion of assignments
  • Perform and supervise cleaning and maintenance activities while conducting quality checks
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks, including entering employee hours and maintaining records
  • Coordinate employee travel, including requesting per diem and reserving hotels as needed
  • Assist with purchasing and coordinating equipment, supplies, and other materials needed for field operations
  • Help track equipment, materials, schedules, and other operational needs
  • Support project documentation, reporting, and general administrative tasks
  • Communicate with field employees and leadership regarding schedules, travel, equipment, and operational needs
  • Provide progress updates, identify operational issues, and escalate concerns as needed
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment while following OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
  • Assist with training, workflow coordination, and day-to-day direction of Site Technicians as needed
  • Develop a working knowledge of company operations to provide coverage and support for leadership when needed
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in both an administrative/office environment and the field
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems and take on increasing operational responsibilities
  • Reliable transportation and valid government-issued ID
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to travel for field assignments
  • Willing to submit to a criminal background check and substance screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Previous experience in field operations, facilities, construction, cleaning/janitorial, or a related environment
  • Previous administrative, operations, scheduling, or coordination experience
  • Experience with timekeeping, purchasing, travel coordination, or expense/per diem processes
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of data center environments and/or construction sites
  • OSHA 10 or higher certification
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity
