Lead Estimator - Industrial Landscaping & Civil Construction

This pivotal Lead Estimator role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and successfully bidding on large-scale industrial landscaping projects. The Lead Estimator drives high-stakes estimating for reclamation, Right of Way (ROW) repair, hydroseeding, and drill seeding initiatives. Additionally, this position acts as a department lead, mentoring a Junior Estimator to ensure brand consistency and accuracy across the residential and design divisions.

Based in Eden, Utah, this premier environmental and landscaping contractor has been delivering innovative, eco-friendly solutions across Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado since 1993. Renowned for its expertise in large-scale commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, the organization offers a highly stable environment dedicated to sustainability, ecosystem health, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor relations by negotiating with seed suppliers, nurseries, and equipment rental companies to secure highly competitive pricing.
  • Execute on-site evaluations across Utah and neighboring states to accurately assess terrain, soil conditions, and site access prior to bidding.
  • Ensure all submitted bids strictly comply with standards mandated by the company, industry, and relevant governing bodies.
  • Mentor and lead the Junior Estimator to promote continuous growth and precision within the landscape design and install division.

Requirements

  • Bring 5+ years of dedicated estimating experience within the landscaping or civil construction sectors.
  • 3 years minimum experience in commercial landscape estimating.

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in takeoff and estimating software such as PropertyIntel, LMN, or similar applications.
  • Exhibit advanced Microsoft Excel skills for accurate bid formulation and data analysis.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Utah S330 Landscaping Contractor license requirements.
  • Showcase familiarity with compliance mandates required when partnering with large infrastructure, energy, and industrial organizations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Quarterly bonuses
  • Paid holidays available after 90 days of employment.
  • Healthcare subsidy provided toward premiums.
