Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Springfield, MA – This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity where you'll work closely with estimating, operations, and project management teams throughout the preconstruction process.

Job Description

  • Lead estimating efforts for commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to define project scope.
  • Perform and oversee quantity takeoffs using digital estimating tools.
  • Develop complete labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
  • Identify constructability issues, scope gaps, project risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Lead estimate reviews, bid strategy meetings, and bid submissions.
  • Prepare proposals, bid forms, alternates, unit pricing, and scope clarifications.
  • Support post-bid negotiations and estimating-to-operations turnover.
  • Mentor estimators and estimating assistants while improving estimating processes and historical cost databases.
  • Coordinate bid schedules, documentation, and estimating standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
  • Experience estimating commercial and/or industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and subcontractor scopes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience with AutoBid or similar estimating software.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
