What You’ll Do

  • Lead the electrical discipline on projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Direct and coordinate all electrical design activities from concept through construction.
  • Create and compile construction work package documentation.
  • Specify, design, and coordinate vendor packages for Motor Control Centre (MCC) systems for oil and gas industrial installations.
  • Oversee preparation of electrical deliverables including schematics, single line diagrams, schedules, calculations, bills of materials, and electrical heat tracing drawings.
  • Define project scope and prepare proposals for client submission.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable municipal, provincial, federal, industry codes, and client standards.
  • Allocate and manage engineering resources to meet approved budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure alignment of scope and design details.
  • Direct designers and draftspersons using 3D design tools including AutoCAD.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership of assigned team members.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the organization and with clients.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Polytechnic Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Credentials: Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA and eligible to stamp as Engineer of Record.
  • Experience: 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial consulting engineering environment (oil & gas preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MCC systems, industrial power distribution, electrical heat tracing, and construction documentation.
  • Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and 2D/3D design tools including AutoCAD.
  • Communication: Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eligibility: Legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
