We are looking for a Lead Account Executive to join our Marketing Solutions (Ads) team and help accelerate LinkedIn's position as the leading platform for reaching and engaging the world's professionals. As a Lead Account Executive, you will serve as a strategic business partner to some of LinkedIn's largest and most complex marketing customers, driving long-term revenue growth through consultative selling, business insights, executive influence, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will develop and execute long-term account strategies, navigate sophisticated buying committees, and cultivate relationships with senior decision-makers across client organizations and agency partners. Success in this role requires the ability to connect industry trends, customer business priorities, and LinkedIn's differentiated solutions into strategic recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a seller who combines deep customer insight, executive presence, analytical rigor, and commercial leadership to create new opportunities, expand enterprise partnerships, and deliver meaningful value for customers. Internally, this individual will contribute to organizational learning by sharing best practices, elevating sales excellence, and strengthening collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
  • Engage senior executives and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and growth opportunities, translating insights into strategic account plans and revenue-generating solutions
  • Lead sophisticated discovery conversations by connecting industry trends, customer priorities, and LinkedIn capabilities to uncover new opportunities and influence marketing investment decisions
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plan strategies with a 6 to 18 month planning horizon that accelerate client growth and deepen strategic partnerships.
  • Navigate complex buying committees and multithreaded stakeholder networks, tailoring engagement strategies to meet the priorities of executive and functional decision-makers
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and strengthen customer advocacy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering thought leadership, industry expertise, and strategic recommendations that help clients achieve their business and marketing objectives
  • Lead the development and delivery of complex customer solutions aligned to client goals, leveraging insights, data, measurement, and LinkedIn's full portfolio of solutions
  • Partner closely with Client Solutions Managers and cross-functional teams across Insights, Marketing Science, Measurement, Agency, Partnerships, and Product organizations to drive customer outcomes and growth
  • Leverage business intelligence, analytics, market trends, earnings reports, and competitive insights to identify opportunities and develop tailored customer strategies
  • Own the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification and strategy development through proposal creation, negotiation, deal closure, renewal, and follow-up
  • Drive performance against revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) through disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, account planning, and gap mitigation
  • Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for strategic initiatives and agreed-upon outcomes that support client success and revenue growth
  • Apply deep expertise in LinkedIn's Marketing solutions, emerging technologies, ad-tech measurement landscape, and the competitive advertising landscape to guide customer investment decisions
  • Share best practices, customer insights, and strategic recommendations across the broader organization to elevate client engagement strategies and support organizational learning
  • Fully embrace and foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Collaborate effectively across LinkedIn's global organization to maximize customer success and business impact
  • Travel requirements: approximately 20% for client meetings, industry events, and team collaboration

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, digital media platforms, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consultative sales managing complex enterprise accounts and building relationships with senior marketing business executives.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex B2B enterprise customers and multiple senior stakeholder relationships
  • Proven ability to influence executive decision-makers and navigate sophisticated buying committees
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans that drive long-term revenue growth and customer outcomes
  • Strong consultative selling skills and storytelling with the ability to connect business priorities to measurable marketing solutions
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising, marketing technology, measurement, and media ecosystems
  • Ability to synthesize data, research, industry trends, and competitive insights into compelling executive narratives and recommendations leveraging AI fluency
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that require collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong forecasting discipline, pipeline management, and sales operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior client leaders and agency partners
  • Expertise identifying new buying groups, cross-sell opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives within enterprise organizations
  • Track record of sharing best practices, influencing peers, and elevating team performance

The pay range for this role is $235,000 to $358,000 (On Target Earnings). Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
