Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a Licensed Social Worker to join our Case Management team. You'll work independently to review medical records, assess medical necessity, and help guide appropriate hospital stays and ancillary services - all in alignment with Joint Commission and Medicare standards. It's a role that blends clinical judgment with genuine advocacy for patients navigating their care.

What You'll Do
- Provide social services in accordance with TJC and Medicare standards
- Conduct daily review of medical records to assess appropriateness and medical necessity of admission, continued stay, and ancillary services
- Function independently within the direction set by Case Management
- Support patients and families through care transitions and discharge planning
What You Bring
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, or a BSW from a CSWE-accredited institution
- Illinois LSW licensure (required within 6 months of hire)
- LCSW or LMSW preferred
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
