Job description

Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for an RF/Digital PCB Designer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an RF/Digital PCB Designer with experience in designing circuit boards.
The selected RF/Digital PCB Designer will have responsibility for the following areas:
  • Create schematics, creation of PCB library components, layout, manufacturing, and verification.
  • Familiar with common analog and digital components.
  • Gather requirements for a circuit board and then create a concept for preliminary approval. The design concept would include evaluating power for the circuit board and selecting power supplies.
  • Create both a schematic and a layout for PCBs. Can interface with PCB manufacturers and address manufacturing issues.
  • Use basic lab test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience designing PCBs.
  • Familiarity with basic analog and digital components.
  • Experience in evaluating power needs for a circuit board and selecting power supplies.
  • Experience with schematic and layout tools.
  • Experience managing a PCB component library.
  • Capable of interfacing with a PCB fab vendor and addressing issues.
  • Experience testing PCBs using common lab test equipment: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and signal generator.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Expedition schematic, library manager, and layout tools.
  • Experience with RF components, PCB design, and test.
  • Experience with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Understanding of signal integrity.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design.
  • Experience implementing FPGAs, ADCs, DACs, and PLLs on circuit boards.
CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
